I graduated from college in 2008 with a B.A. in English and immediately began teaching high school English literature and composition.  In July of 2009, I married my husband, Steven, and moved to Flint, Michigan.  I have worked with youth for many years, and it was during that time that I realized that is where my passion resides.  I have a love for teaching, and a incredibly vast desire to see young lives change for the better–so I have coupled the two and hope that I can spend the rest of my career teaching teenagers how to believe in themselves.

I’m looking to get my M.A. in Teaching from the University of Michigan sometime soon.

Steven and I both have a very tangibly real relationship with God.  What this means is that we take every opportunity we can to love people and to show them how valuable they are.  This is a challenging lifestyle, as it stretches us to put aside pride, anger, frustration, and stress, and to humble ourselves to everyone we meet.  We live every moment to glorify God.
